Janine, a Connecticut native, came to Central Florida in 1992 following high school. After a 10+ year career doing props and set decorating on feature films, TV series, and commercials, Janine decided to follow her other passion...holistic healthcare.
Following a minor car accident and having almost constant headaches for more than six weeks, receiving both chiropractic and regular massage therapy, she tried acupuncture. Only then did long-term relief happen. After just the first treatment, she was pain-free for two days; after the second treatment, the relief lasted over a week. At that point, Janine was a firm believer of acupuncture.
Janine studied Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at The Florida College of Integrative Medicine in Orlando. The program included 3000 rigorous hours of study consisting of 900 clinical hours, treating over 300 patients, and 2100 classroom hours. Janine graduated with a Master’s in Traditional Oriental Medicine in 2006, summa cum laude. Janine honorably served on the Florida Board of Acupuncture from August 2016 - January 2021.
Janine is very passionate about her work, and has studied since with many masters in Auricular Acupuncture, Scalp Acupuncture, Balance Method Acupuncture, I-Ching Acupuncture, Allergy Elimination Techniques, Laser (needle-less) Acupuncture, Acupoint Injection Therapy and NADA (Detox Treatments).
She is not only very professional, but is charismatic and personable. Janine will listen to not only your words, but also your body language, pulse, tongue, and overall disposition to get a whole picture of your health. She will instantly make you feel very comfortable and has even been known to make you laugh.
On a personal note, Janine has been married to her love Martin since 2000, and has two lovely daughters, Lilyana and Kalina. She is dedicated to her family, and is sure to make you feel a part of it, too.
